The GPS team works towards providing the payments platform that facilitates Amazon's Consumer, Seller and AWS business. Amazon Flexible Payments ServiceTM (Amazon FPS) is the first payments service designed from the ground up for developers. It is built on top of Amazon's reliable and scalable payments infrastructure and provides developers with a convenient way to charge Amazon's tens of millions of customers (with their permission, of course!). Amazon customers can pay using the same login credentials, shipping address and payment information they already have on file with Amazon. With Amazon FPS, developers can accept payments on their website for selling goods or services, raise donations, execute recurring payments, and send payments.

Built on the same FPS platform, Amazon Simple Pay (ASP) is a payments-only service for digital goods & services providers and nonprofits to accept payments online. Amazon Simple Pay provides easy to integrate copy and paste HTML code (and buttons) to enable single-payments, subscriptions, marketplace payments and donations. Thus, enabling customers to easily make payments using the payment information stored in their Amazon.com accounts.
